MPP Zee Hamid joined representatives from the club to formally congratulate the Milton Curling Club on receiving an Ontario Trillium Foundation capital grant of $186,300 to enhance accessibility.
A very special thank you to Craig Thomas who wrote the grant application. Mr. Hamid complimented Craig stating, "OTF grants are awarded on merit, and your grant application was very deserving."

-
Construction of an accessible washroom in the southwest corner of the lounge;
-
Installation of an accessible entrance door. New door will be installed where the window is in the foyer. There will be no change to the main entrance. Ramp will be installed for the new door; and
-
Installation of a lift. Stairs to the lounge and change rooms will be reconfigured to accommodate the lift.
These comprehensive upgrades will guarantee that individuals of all ages and abilities can safely participate in curling, and our lounge will be accessible to all, making a truly welcoming environment. Also, the upgrades will open the door to other community events that were previously restricted because of access.
The project will start at the end of the 2026-27 curling season and is estimated to be completed before the start of the Halton Snapology Summer Camp.
