Day Womens CYO 2025-26 League Information Page
As we begin the 2025-2026 Curling Season, we would like to welcome our members back and extend a warm welcome to members who are joining the league this year. We look forward to a season of competitive play along with a social time after the games. Please note we have nine teams registered this season so there will be a Bye each week.
The games' schedule as well as the coffee schedule will be posted on the bulletin board and on the website. Vices, please note, it is your responsibility to post the score after each game. Should you need some help with this, speak to one of the convenors. All team members should check the date for their coffee duty (see below).
We have, many times, discussed the problem of 'slow play' resulting in only being able to play 7 ends before the time clock runs out, but there is still room for improvement. Let’s focus on 'speeding up the game' to achieve our goal of 8 ends on a consistent basis. Everyone needs to do their part to complete 8 ends of play.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please speak to one of the convenors. We look forward to a season of good curling, and social time over coffee after the game.
Any available spares will be posted on the bulletin board, however, please use the Bye team when possible.
Please make note of the following dates:
October 6 – 1st game of the season
October 13 – Thanksgiving Monday
December 1 – OCA Event – no curling for this League
December 16 – Xmas Spiel and Lunch - sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board
February 4 – Sunshine Spiel
February 16 – Family Day Spiel - no curling for this league
March 31 – Closing Spiel and Lunch - sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board
